9th NOVEMBER 2003 Sydney Sunday Telegraph, Page 9 An article appeared headed "Drinkers at Risk from Ice Bacteria". Upon investigation we discivered all samples were made on premises from their own machines - something the PIAA has been pointing out to Health Authorities for a long time. A letter had been forwarded to the editor and all members should have received a copy. This may develop further. |

JANUARY 2001 Nationally there is a change in direction regarding food safety in Australia and New Zealand. A new National Standard is being developed called "Safe Food Australia". The Australia and New Zealand Food Authority (ANZFA) has released guidelines to the Food Code and the PIAA has approached them to discuss how our food safety plan fits with their future direction. At this stage, health ministers have yet to make decisions on food safety plans. |
